MOMENTO MORI PHOTO SHOOT

Edited with Adobe Photoshop

I have recently started a project which I'm choosing to base on Momento Mori. I love Momento Mori as subject to work from, its beautiful because death is one of lives biggest guarantees and death is a beautiful thing, its moving on and making room for new things! Whilst choosing this subject it has taken me back to my love of skulls and to the summer of 2012 where i spent my time dissecting a pigs head and this is the skull in this shot. This shot was taken at my grandmothers house. I chose to do the photo shoot here because it has such old character here and it is completely empty!

DIVERSITY

This is piece was created in response to a live brief at college. We were asked by councillors at a group called 'Unique' to create something for a their leaflet. I chose to look more at Diversity in Race and just generally peoples appearance because that is what we are judged on daily and i felt these were the issues that would be raised more frequently at their meetings. Also this piece shows my love for  symmetry and triangles. They make appearances in a lot of my work!

MCQUEEN VS INK SKULL COLLAGE

This is a quick collage, which basically holds everything i adore. McQueen work, collage, ink and skulls. In my work and more significantly in my current project i like to disguise peoples faces, mostly using collage as i feel it can be more outrageous!

SHIPPING FORECAST SCREEN PRINT

This piece was inspired by a Shipping Forecast. I looked into ships and their cables as i thought this would be an interesting print. I also wanted to play around with colour in my prints so that when making it come to life with making models they would be individuals coloured prints and not blend together. I also played with scale as this was an important part in making the models being slightly 3D.
